Yesterday we ventured down to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with our good friend Jennifer and Kinley's BFF Kacie. Aunt "Tee Tee" got to come too....bonus! The girls had so so much fun seeing all the animals and riding the ponies. It was super duper crowded but I'm sure it always is. I think us adults were the most exhausted :) . I got the scare of my life as we were in line to ride ponies for a second round.....I literally turned to grab my wallet right before we were to walk in and ride the ponies and I looked back (literally 2 seconds) and Kinley was gone.....nowhere to be found. I panicked as I looked at the 5 million people at the carnival. Kristi immediately sprinted off screaming and Jennifer went the other way searching. Thankfully there are nice people that saw her and yelled that she was.......IN THE HORSE STABLE! Kristi got to her and she was standing directly behind a horse....again scary. Long story short she grabbed her and ran back....it was all a total of about 2 min tops but it seemed much longer. So many things were learned in that short amount of time. I'm thankful I have a sister that can immediately waste no time and turn it into over drive to find my sweet girl. I do not care what people think, the next time we are to be in a crowd we will have a stroller and a back pack leash attached to her. All in all it was a great exhausting day.
Aunt Tee Tee is so much fun.....ice cream for everyone!
These are not the best quality pictures as they were taken from my phone!!!! Kinley got to go see Santa yesterday and well......it didn't go as planned. We talk so much about him and she reads books about him and gets excited to hear about Santa but when it came to sitting on his lap she was terrified. I absolutely LOVE screaming Santa pics....they're my favorite. We didn't even get to his lap to even get a screaming picture. She had a death grip on me and was completely terrified. Luckily Santa was so sweet and told her he'd go hide and she could sit in his "magical" chair! We got our picture and all was good in the world!
Just a few pics from my phone. Kinley had so much fun this year and really grasped the whole trick or treating concept! She was the cutest little Bumble Bee! We went to my parents neighborhood to trick or treat. Lake Windcrest goes "all out" for Halloween. Everyone goes and sits on the driveway and drives their golf carts around all decorated up. We had a blast with Mimi, Pa Paw and Aunt TT!
Yesterday I was able to attend K's Fall Festival at her school. I love that my new job is so close to home and her school and I'm able to work and still be actively involved in activities like this. Kinley got mad when I first walked in because she thought I was taking her from her party. I wasn't overly thrilled about the shirts they had to wear (they made them at school) but the kids looked so cute dressed a like in school made shirts! They had a parade, played games and ate yummy food.
So this years visit to the pumpkin patch didn't really seem like a true pumpkin patch visit. I love fall, however, in Houston it's a hit or miss with the weather in October. Ideally it should be at least cool outside. This year was a quick visit in between thunderstorms in the boiling hot to get a pumpkin. Kinley had fun so that's all that matters.
The kid has good taste! Kissing the Aggie football player :)
K's 2nd Birthday Party could not have been any better. The weather was absolutely wonderful and the company was great. If you know Kinley you know how into Mickey and Minne Mouse she is, so it was only fitting to have a Minnie party. Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate our little pumpkin's 2nd Birthday.
I will never order a cake anywhere else.....Kroger does amazing jobs on cakes
Kinley's Best Bud and Partner in Crime...Kacie
So glad this little cutie pie Kendall got to come...the girls had so much fun playing together.
Pretty sure this cutie is Kinley's future Boyfriend!
We love our Lundy and Claire
I wish we could've gotten them all in the bounce house at once.
Thank you Mimi and PaPaw for having K's party at your house and thank you Aunt TT for helping take pictures.
