I-35 tour continued

Final stop....San Antonio!
We went to visit our grandparents (Kinleys great). I didn't get any pics...major boo...we were chasing K around the whole time.

Hilton Hill Country Resort! I would highly recommend this place to anyone with kids. It's right by Sea World and super duper kid/family friendly. They really cater to families yet it's a very nice hotel! We will definitely be bringing Kinley back for a family vacay.

We are so fortunate to have a family that's as close as ours. I am so thankful that Kinley gets to grow up with a family that loves her so much. We had so much fun on our girls get away. I'm looking forward to many more.

I-35 tour!!!

For the past 6 days Kinley and I have been on one heck of a girls trip! We loaded up in the "Grammy" mobile with Grammy and Aunt KK and off we went.



Ok Grammy....we are ready!!!

First stop......Austin!!




Grammy sang every song imaginable to this highly active munchkin (even some made up songs). K was a little ready to be unstrapped!

In Austin Mom and Kristi had a wedding to go to. Kevin had been working A&M soccer camp for 8 days and hadn't seen us so he came to visit and the others went to the wedding (from what I hear it was a very very beautiful wedding).




Two of the most beautiful ladies I know! So thankful to have them in our lives!

Next stop....New Braunfels and Gruene!!




Folks....we were staying for one night this is only part of our "stuff" from the car!!!
Funny story...we hit up the San Marcos outlet and quickly realized we had no room for ANYTHING!!!!!! Did that stop any of us....NO!!!!!! We were cramming things in tight spaces.




So excited to be at the Hotel!!!!




Gruene!!!! Everyone needs to experience it!

July 4th festivities

We are still trying to get over being sick so July 4th was low key. We did attend the annual Woodlands parade. I'm so sad to say that in the 20 years I've lived in The Woodlands this was a first. It was only like 200 degrees and every ounce of shade was taken.....we did have fun but were eager to get to the AC!










Funny story....so we got this little 4th of July outfit in Canton back in April....put it on her yesterday only for Kevin to point out that they spelled independent wrong! Awesome!!!!








The parade was a success!

First for everything

So Kinley, Kristi and I took off for Oklahoma on Thursday to visit our grandparents. Kinley had been fussy for a few days and the whole way to OK was miserable. I just assumed it was teething problems since she's never been sick before. Friday evening she was super duper fussy and was burning up.....sure enough she had a very high fever of close to 103. We immediately decided we needed to head back home and get her to a doctor. We didn't make it to The Woodlands before I decided she needed to get to a doctor ASAP because I couldn't get her fever down even with Tylenol. Allen, Tx has an awesome after hours/weekend clinic for Kids only. They were so great with my baby. Turns out Kinley had an ear infection and early stages of strep. Needless to say it was the longest car ride home ever!




This pic that Aunt Kristi took broke my heart.




When you're sick it's ok to eat ice cream for every meal! :-)




Lots of sleep....and in mommy and daddy's bed!
