After weeks of Doctors appointments and absolutely no progress or sign of labor Dr. Sullivan scheduled me to be induced 5 days after my due date. Yayyyyy finally an end in sight.
I never imagined just how difficult the process of being induced when you're at a zero would be. We showed up at The Woodlands Memorial at 6:45 am Saturday got all checked in and hooked up the IV's and monitors. Hours went by and all that was happening was Kinley moving from the HR monitors. Kevin, Mom and Kristi sat in the room keeping me company and I told them "nothings happening y'all go grab food." this is when everything went a little crazy. Mom got back first and suddenly my water breaks. I text Kevin and told him to come on back. This is really when the "real fun" began (sarcaism). I went from baby contractions to full blown MONSTER contractions. The Dr administering the epidural was tied up with another patient. 45 min later and me in the worst pain of my life.....he shows up! Good Good stuff.......until I can feel contractions again but not my legs. Things go downhill from here. My cervix becomes swollen, I'm in excruciating pain and realizing it's C Section time. I was great with it. Dr Sulli told me that was the best option. They prep me and off we go to meet our baby girl and love of our life! As Sullivan is pulling her out she's saying "oh my gosh Katie she's beautiful and BIG" she was correct. Kinley swallowed fluids during the process and had to go to the NICU for a bit and her Daddy was right by her side which brought comfort to me. There will be lots of pictures to come!
